About High School Band
The High School Band Program is the culmination of the first few years of students participation in band. All students that played band instruments prior to Freshman year are encouraged to participate in the high school band program. Currently, the band program is split into two main bands: Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble. At the end of each year, students audition to be placed in these groups. Along with these two ensembles, students have many opportunities to enrich their lives through extra musical opportunities. Some of these include: Pep band, marching band, jazz band, pit orchestra, being a 6th grade band mentor, symphonic orchestra, color guard, and solo/ensemble. Currently, Mr. Carroll is the head band director and Mr. Neidner comes to teach lessons and help out at the high school every day during the week.
